The Schowengerdt House is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites
[since October 3, 1980] and in that listing it is referred to as the Ernst Schowengerdt House.  [Ernst being the Schowengerdt who had the house constructed.]   

 

Master Gardeners of Warren County have partnered with the Historical Society in an effort to catalog and maintain the original gardens.
